One of my favorite summer quotes is by L.M. Montgomery, who says “I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always June.” Everyone seems a little happier during this time of year, especially if you get to escape the realities of life by floating in a pool. Even better, you get a chance to sit and listen to ocean waves and feel sand in your toes.
Some people say summer is a chance for new beginnings. Others say it’s a chance simply to forget. School is out. Lots of families take a vacation to a favorite place or venture out to brand new places. You might have already enjoyed a concert with friends or a few backyard barbeques. Imagine all the photos that are taken in summer. Imagine all the memories. I hope you enjoy these “best summer quotes” as you begin your summer of warm weather, long days, and happy moments with loved ones. It always slips away so fast no matter how much we try to hold onto it.
There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart.

Summer was our best season: it was sleeping on the back screened porch in cots, or trying to sleep in the treehouse; summer was everything good to eat; it was a thousand colors in a parched landscape…

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate…
William Shakespeare

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.
John Lebbock
Spring being a tough act to follow, God created June.

A good swimming pool could do that – make the rest of the world seem impossibly insignificant, as far away as the surface of the moon.
