A Sweet Surprise
We stumbled upon Look Up Dessert Café accidentally on a trip to the dance supply store in Chesapeake, Virginia. What a neat surprise it was! The girls and I all had a great time trying a new place with some unique selections.
Bingsoo
I tried Strawberry Cream Bingsoo, also known as Snow Cream Parfait. Bingsoo is a type of Korean shaved ice. A block of frozen milk or cream is grated or shaved using a knife, creating a dessert that is icy and snow like. Other bingsoo flavors include Vanilla Cake with Nilla Wafers, Mango/Pineapple with fresh mango, and Coffee Tiramisu with chocolate cereal, Heath toffee, coffee ice cream, and tiramisu cake.
The café also offers a variety of bubble tea and specialty drinks, as well as Blue Bell ice cream. There were quite a few cake slices available too, and a large assortment of macarons. The mango macarons were by far my favorite, with coconut and birthday cake coming in next.

Fruit Cake (white sponge cake layered with light sugar whipping cream mixed with fresh strawberries and mangos)
Oreo Cake (chocolate sponge cake with Oreo cream between layers, topped with Oreo crumbs and Oreo cream)
Berry Napoleon Cake *only available on the weekends (layers of puff pastry with mascarpone cheese with French butter cream mixed with fresh strawberries and blueberries)
Taro Cake (taro flavored sponge cake layered with taro extract, purple yam spread and taro flavored whipping cream) *may contain coconut from the spread
Matcha Green Tea Cake (matcha green tea sponge cake layered with matcha flavored whipping cream and pistachio pieces on top)
Hours and Location
Look Up Dessert Café is located at 1032 Volvo Parkway, Suite 1, in Chesapeake Virginia. The hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday from 1 p.m.- 8 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.- 7 p.m. Look Up Dessert Café is not open on Wednesdays. Check them out soon for your new dessert spot!
