Fall Fun at Historic Greenbrier Farms

Sharing is caring!

Historic Greenbrier Farms

Have you ever heard of Historic Greenbrier Farms? Located in Chesapeake since 1916, it’s a surprisingly great place to visit for fall fun – for both kids and adults. I had no idea how much they have to offer!

Tips to Consider

When you go, allow yourself plenty of time to do everything. We arrived late on a weekday after the kids got out of school, so we didn’t have a chance to pick flowers or do the corn maze. There is a garden center, an on sight restaurant, and a farmers market. Kids will love the barnyard animals, fishing, and the playground. Greenbrier Farms also hosts lots of special events you might want to check out.

If your kids plan to play on the playground and bouncy houses, do not dress them in cute outfits. They will get dirty. My youngest took her shoes off to get into the bouncy houses and her socks were so dirty we threw them in the trash can. This decision wasn’t just because of the dirt. The chickens were all over the place so we weren’t sure what all was on those socks. I’m all for “let them be little” and let them get dirty and enjoy themselves. Just an fyi that you might need to throw the socks away and bathe them as soon as you get home. I don’t throw socks away, not even the single ones from the dryer I’m holding onto with hope, so you’ll just have to trust me on this. Put your kids in boots in case it’s a little muddy.
